Bingo Keeps you Active and Healthy

According to a new study, which was publish recently in the ‘Archives of Internal Medicine‘ journal, playing the popular card game bingo and having an active social life in old age can help stave off disability and even death. Their findings showed that staying active reduced the risk of developing a disability by a whopping 65% and death by 40%.

Several studies have shown that being physically active helps stave off motor decline in older people, researcher Dr. Aron Buchman and his team of researchers from Rush University Medical Center in Chicago noted in the Archives of Internal Medicine.

But there's growing evidence that social activities and other pursuits keep people's minds sharp and extend their lives. Several studies carried out in the past by scientists who also claimed that the game of bingo helped to keep you mind active and it could also be an aid in hand to eye coordination going.
