Cryptologic, WPT Renew Old Deal

Leading online gambling software developer and licensor Cryptologic has recently announced the extension of its agreement with WPT Enterprises Incorporated. According to the deal, WPT's gambling site, World Poker Tour (WPT), will continue to enjoy the backing of one of the world's gaming software pioneers.


The extension will also see WPT expanding its online casino games selection, and the addition of German and Spanish languages to the company's online poker rooms. The licensing extension is said to be until the middle of 2011.


As of yet, neither Cryptologic nor WPT have released any financial details relating to the deal.


CryptoLogic's President and Chief Executive Officer, Brian Hadfield, did release a statement saying, "In less than one year, CryptoLogic & World Poker Tour have teamed up to deliver an exceptional online experience for casino and poker players all over the world. CryptoLogic's collaboration with WPT is another great example of our success in building and growing relationships with the world's top gaming & entertainment brands for mutual benefit."


The deal's extension comes as little surprise to industry experts as increasingly more software makers and marketers team up to satisfy the seemingly insatiable demand among gamblers around the world. This steadfast phenomenon persists despite the American government's crusade against (online) gamblers.
