The Poker Players Alliance (PPA), an organization advocating on behalf of the United Sates poker industry, recently announced that World Series of Poker champions Chris "Jesus" Ferguson and Greg "Fossilman" Raymer have joined the organization's Board of Directors. The PPA's board already includes notable poker talents, such as Linda Johnson, Jan Fisher and Howard Lederer.
Greg Raymer, 2004's WSOP winner, is a professional patent attorney. In April, Raymer joined Ferguson and the PPA in Washington D.C. to meet with Congressmen in an effort to educate them regarding poker and explain why attempts to outlaw the game are completely misguided.
Commenting on his new position with the PPA, Raymer was quoted as saying, "Serving on the Board of Directors will allow me the opportunity to become more personally engaged in the challenges and opportunities faced by poker players as we work to ensure that this game of skill is not threatened. [...] All poker players should join the PPA and unite behind our common goal of protecting this game we love."
